ABOUT MICHELLE
Growing up, back in the days when all of my friends were short (not just me), I was determined to be a professional basketball player, which is hilarious for reasons beyond the fact that I am terrible at basketball, 5ft tall, and blind as a bat in my left eye. I remember telling anyone who would listen, “I am going to play in the WNBA someday”, to which my friends would kindly reply, “you aren’t meant to be a player, you are meant to be a coach.”
That couldn’t be more true. Coaching is a constant theme in my life that makes my heart beam with fulfillment and pride. Between being an AIM Nutrition Coach, high school science teacher, and volleyball coach, I am an educator to the innermost core of my being. There are infinite things that make coaching my passion but if I had to pick one, I’d say that the joy of helping others reach their highest potential is unparalleled.
Outside of all things coaching, I am a wife, dog-mom, CrossFitter, sports fanatic, (gluten free) cornbread enthusiast who loves a good joke, science-anything, and going “an inch-wide and a mile deep” into habits. I am a recovering perfectionist that strives to be coachable and work hard in everything I do. In return, I often demand the same level of passion and effort from my clients and those around me. Iron sharpens iron.
There is absolutely no other way to say it: AIM changed my life. As a former AIM client turned coach, I know what it is like to confront change in the face. Stepping outside of your comfort zone, getting uncomfortable, being vulnerable… It takes courage. I also know (and promise) that it’s worth it.
