Your Problem Can't Be Solved By Food

 
 

When you stress eat, you’re using food to solve a problem. Unfortunately, it’s a problem that food can’t fix.

Additionally, beating ourselves up for coping in the only way we know doesn’t help either.

Here are three strategies to try instead of turning to food when you’re feeling emotional:

1. Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness activities such as meditation or deep breathing exercises to center yourself and calm your mind.

2. Physical Activity: Go for a walk, do some yoga, or engage in any form of exercise you enjoy. Physical activity can help release stress and improve your mood.

3. Reach Out: Talk to a friend, family member, or therapist. Sometimes, sharing your feelings with someone you trust can provide the support you need and help you feel less alone.
