Turmeric Bone Broth Latte by Alisa Lewis of Alisa's Garden Blog

10 oz hot bone broth (chicken, beef, pork, etc) 1 TBS Coconut Cream 1 tsp raw grated turmeric 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp himalyan salt Fresh chopped chives or green onion and a few slices of jalepeno to garnish (Other add-ins: Apple Cider Vinegar ACV, spiralized veggies, cilantro, parsley, or other fresh herbs, freshly grated ginger, MCT oil, sesame oil, sesame seeds, sriracha)

A cup of bone broth like this is a pretty balanced snack or addition to a meal. It has about 15-20g of protein, around 5g of fat, and around 5-6g of carbs! It's a great warm and comforting drink to have first thing in the morning or when your energy is low in the afternoon. It's also great right before bed if you are still needing to get in more protein in your day.

When you cook bones for long periods of time and under pressure like I do in the Instant Pot, you extract the collagen and gelatin. These are two substances that are hugely beneficial to gut health. Your immune system begins in your gut...the lining of your intestines.

There are numerous health benefits of bone broth!
