Thai Style Turkey Burger
1 lb lean ground turkey 25g chopped cilantro 1.5 oz shredded carrots 25g diced green onion 1.5 TBS liquid aminos 2 tsp ginger powder 2 tsp sesame seeds 1 tsp red pepper flake or 1 tsp sriracha 2 tsp granulated garlic powder
Form burger mix into 4-8 patties depending on how you want to count your macros. Grill or pan fry or bake until cooked through. If you use a meat thermometer, turkey should be cooked to 165 degrees in the middle. If not, the middle of the burgers should be white not pink anymore when it is fully cooked. Approximately 4-5 minutes per side on the grill or about 8-10 minutes total in a sautee pan on the stove. You can also bake a large sheet pan, maybe a double batch, of these burgers in the oven at 375 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.
Wrap in butter lettuce leaves and top with more shredded carrot, radish, green onion, red pickled onion, or sriracha.
These are great to make 1-2 recipes and pre-cook on your meal prep day. They taste great cold if you're in a hurry. They are easy to re-heat. They are easy to plug into MFP and then record 1-2 burgers in your daily diary. You can top them with whatever you want or put them on top of a big salad.
