Burgers on the BBQ
Burgers are great way to enjoy summer BBQ food and still easily keep track of your macros because all of the ingredients are usually “separates” and easy to stack/layer. This way as you build a burger you can weigh and measure as you go or you can eye ball your proportions if you are at an event or family gathering without access to a scale.
For this burger we seasoned the raw ground beef really well with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dry mustard powder, celery salt, paprika. Every spice we measured about 1/4 tsp for 1 lb of burger meat. But season to your taste and liking. 🍔🍔🍔
Then we grilled these and topped with Swiss cheese and sautéed onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. If you plan ahead in your day you can enjoy a big fresh burger bun and some sweet potato fries as your carbs allow. If not, this burger is delicious on top of butter lettuce or on top of a big pile of summer veggies. We hope you try it and try experimenting with burgers this summer as they fit into your macro windows.
