Let’s talk supplementation:

Supplements are just that: supplements to an already consistent and balanced diet.

Supplements can have a place in your nutrition journey, but they’re like the cherry on top. If you’re already crushing it with consistency both in the gym and in the kitchen, supplements can give you a little extra edge and boost. It is key to build a strong foundation first. The bottom parts of your pyramid need to be dialed in. Otherwise, your new pre-workout, creatine or BCAA will have minimal impact on your performance, recovery or body composition.

An exception to this rule is if you have a confirmed deficiency and your doctor recommends supplementation. A few examples we see most often with our clients are iron, vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids.

It’s always best to consult a medical professional before adding supplements to ensure they’re right for you.
