Offense vs. Defense
Tell me you’re not tired of that nagging “I need to catch up” feeling??
Constantly feeling under pressure, rushed, like you’re behind, and/or like you’re barely keeping your head above water?
That’s because you’re spending your days on defense.
Never allowing yourself the opportunity to get a head start on the day will leave you fighting against yourself and time day in and day out.
If you’re tired of feeling like this then focus on these 2 things:
-> Be proactive
-> Find a better morning routine
When we choose to be proactive we free ourselves from being stressed in the moment. We commit to spending extra energy now so we can move through our day with more ease.
When we set up a morning routine that offers us the opportunity to walk (not run) out of the door, lunch packed, dinner prepped (or at least thought about), to-do list in hand, we find ourselves on offense, a step ahead of the crazy that days present.
>> Pack your lunch the night before
>> Lay out your work clothes
>> Communicate your to-do list with your spouse
>> Wake up 30 minutes earlier (which requires going to bed earlier)
>> Eat breakfast at the table
>> Set out meat for dinner
All of these are great ways to 1) be proactive and 2) build a solid morning routine.
Move through your days on offense, feeling like a boss, and running your own show.
